Effects of Schizochytrium sp. on growth performance and survival rate of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus, juveniles were studied. Fish (initial weight 2.27-2.30 g) were fed with commercial pellet feed (32% crude protein) supplemented with Schizochytrium sp. at 0 (control group), 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5% for 8 weeks. The result showed that average weight gain of the 7.5, 5.0 and 2.5% Schizochytrium sp. supplemented were 37.84+1.227, 32.81+0.648 and 31.17+0.226 g, respectively, which were significantly different (P<0.05) from the control group (28.11+2.393 g). Dry herbal plants were introduced to be used as animal feed additive in order to replace antibiotic medicines. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of using Indian mulberry as a feed additive on feed intake and milk production in dairy cows. Eight crossbred Holstein Friesian with average 454.75 ± 52.2 kg body weight and 146 ± 41.15 days in milk were used in the study. The experimental design was arranged in 4x4 Replicated Latin square design (21-d period). Animals were fed with total mixed ration (TMR) diet base on rice straw as roughage source. The effects of dietary Schizochytrium sp. supplementation on growth and survival rate of giant freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) were studied. The prawns (approximate weight of 0.5 g/prawn) were fed with pelleted feed supplemented with Schizochytrium sp. at the levels of 0% (control group), 2.5%, 5.0%, 7.5% and 10.0%. Fifteen prawns were used for each treatment with the experiments being carried out in triplicate. Initial weight of the prawns was measured at the beginning of the experiment and after culturing for 50 days in suitable conditions, final weight, weight gain and survival rate of the prawns were recorded. The effects of dietary Schizochytrium sp. supplementation on morphological characters and growth performance of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) were studied. Fish (initial weight 84.08-84.26 g) were fed with pelleted feed (30% crude protein) supplemented with Schizochytrium at 0% (control group), 2.5%, 5.0% and 7.5% and reared for 8 weeks. Results were shown that body depth gain and dorsal width gain of fish fed 7.5% Schizochytriumhad the highest values (2.58±0.19and1.00±0.11 cm), which was significantly higher (P<0.05) than the control group. This experiment aimed to investigate the effect of Mao pomace (MP) levels on degradability and rumen gas production using in vitro gas production techniques. The experiment was designed by a completely randomized design (CRD). The dietary treatments were supplemented by MP at 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 mg with 0.5 g of roughage and concentrate ratio at 60:40. It was found that gas production from the insoluble fraction (b) had no effect (p>0.05) by MP supplementation, while potential extent of gas production (a+b) and gas production rate (c) were significantly different among treatments.
